SIP 1000 EPS Disposal System

Efficient EPS Volume Reduction Through Heating and Grinding

The Midwest Automation SIP 1000 EPS Disposal System is a purpose-built solution for safely and efficiently reducing expanded polystyrene (EPS) scrap generated in SIP, panel, and packaging operations. The system combines controlled heating, pre-sizing through wire mesh, and high-efficiency grinding to convert bulky EPS waste into manageable material suitable for collection, disposal, or downstream handling.

Designed as a modular, industrial-grade system, the SIP 1000 minimizes EPS volume, reduces material handling issues, and improves shop cleanliness while maintaining operator safety and process reliability.

How the SIP 1000 Works

  1. Bulk EPS Loading

EPS scrap is introduced through a wide-open or narrow-open top configuration, allowing flexibility based on floor space and operator preference.

  2. Heating & Pre-Sizing

An electrically resistant heating element conditions the EPS and directs material through a wire mesh, breaking larger pieces into controlled sizes before grinding.

  3. Grinding & Pulverizing

Pre-sized EPS is fed via conveyor into a hammermill, where it is pulverized into small, uniform particles.

  4. Evacuation & Collection

A high-efficiency blower evacuates the processed EPS through a pipe system into a collection hopper or bagging station for easy disposal or transport.
